I have always been a pretty tiny person; I loved getting compliments on how tiny I looked or how small I was. Last October I randomly gained about ten pounds and that drove me crazy and made me get really down on myself. A couple of my friends had been posting before and after pictures of how good they looked from working out at O.P.T I decided I needed to join. I went in for my first session to try it out and probably almost died, it was hard but that soreness felt so good. Of course over the next couple months I got stronger I lost a few pounds but it’s what I gained that sets O.P.T aside from other personal training facilities. O.P.T is like a family I looked forward to going to the gym to see everyone’s happy faces. Of course there were days I didn’t want to be there but once I got there with everyone’s motivating words a bad attitude turned into a rewarding work out. In a few short weeks the gym taught me that being tiny didn’t mean anything, I want to be strong. Joey has taught me that with a happy mind and heart a healthy body will follow. O.P.T doesn’t just care about how fast you can sprint or how many squats you can do they care about what is right for you specifically. I felt I got awesome one-on-one attention as well as personalized workouts that catered to what I needed as an athlete. Now I don’t care about how tiny I look I care about how happy I feel and how healthy I am. I now attend ASU and do not have the transportation to get to O.P.T but I have taken so much from training there that I now know how to motivate myself and write workouts to complete at ASU’s gym. O.P.T has given me the tools to not only keep myself healthy but as well as give my friends and parents tips. I can’t thank O.P.T enough for the awesome lifestyle they have showed me and transforming my mind. I can’t wait to come back during Christmas break (:
